So the ratings are in. 1.6 million watched the episode and it got a 0.6 rating.

I just want to start by saying last weeks ratings i posted was wrong, it was actually 1.52 million.

Now, last nights episode dropped a little. It was at 1.4 million and a 0.5 rating.

There's a new interview tih Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders:

Showrunners Talks 9/11 Backstory!

Showrunners Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders talked a bit about why 9/11 is a part of Vincents backstory:

"We actually didn’t come in until after the pilot was shot because Jen and Sherri wrote the pilot and shot it and then brought us on. What was interesting to me was how they actually went to 9/11 and they chose that as part of his back story that we can unravel because it’s something that people have shied away from for very obvious reasons. The opportunity to deal with some of that aftermath and the sensitivity, we can use that, and it will be a really neat thing."

The Show Will Get Beastlier As It Progresses!

Sherri Cooper talks about how they didn't write the show as a supernatural show and that it will get beastlier as it goes on.

"It's huge. It can just go everywhere. There can be other beasts, because they were part of a military experiment, so he has other friends of there," he theorizes. "Most of them are supposed to be killed. There are so many avenues you can go. Because it's a chemical mutation, I like the idea of it getting bigger and bigger inside of him and what that can do."

Smallville EPs Join Beauty and the Beast!

According to The Hollywood Reporter EPs Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders from Smallville have joined Beauty and the Beast:

Peterson and Souders will serve as co-showrunners alongside writer/exec producers Jennifer Levin and Sherri Cooper (Brothers & Sisters) on the series, which is loosely based on the 1980s CBS drama of the same name.
Kreuk starred as Lana Lang on The CW's Superman drama Smallville from 2001-09; Peterson and Souders exec produced the Tom Welling starrer from 2002 through its end in 2011.

Picked up to series!

Tvline has reported that, along with 4 other shows, Beauty and the Beast is picked up to series and is expected to premiere in the fall!

The shows stars Kristin Kreuk (Smallville) as Catherine Chandler, a homocide detective that witnessed the murder of her own mother when she was a teenager and was almost killed herself, but was saved by someone, or something! Jay Ryan stars as the very own "Beast" Vincent Koslow who saved Catherine from the gunmen and has been living outside of traditional society for several years.
